Lord willing, I'm flying to Valencia, Spain on New Year's Eve!!! My first trip to the city was a few years ago and I only stayed in town a few days to film a music video. While I am excited about visiting this beautiful city (and country) again, and that my impending American Gospel Workshop there (sábado, 15 de enero) is selling fast- I'm most excited about something that's happening naturally. People are starting to connect me to bigger and greater opportunities there than I ever imagined. Literally, people are passing my name and contact information along saying "this great American Artist & Coach is coming to town, let's put him to work!" I am in awe of the Lord's grace. I was happy to focus on one thing I was led to do, but in so doing I'm being pleasantly surprised with more, more and more. As I look forward, I am reminded that I am #Limitless . And as you look back at the video I filmed there, remember to always say #Yesss to the good this life has to offer ♡ When I was 14 year old, I recall checking out a book about the continent of Africa on one of my family's weekly trips to the local library in Houston. The first pictures I saw were of a country called Kenya, and wow; it looked beautiful. The animals, the scenery and the people looked like the light from heaven fell extra on them. I recall thinking, "when I grow up, I'm gonna go here". Well it took 30 years, but thanks to the Lord's grace, my Aunt Lanell's kindness and a gospel workshop in Nairobi - I made it to Kenya! Feeding giraffes while snapping a selfie, daring to walk alone in the Karura Forest, imbibing on the local Dawa cocktail and negotiating at the local handmade market will not soon be forgotten. And while I may not have enough words to adequately communicate how this experience changed my life, what I can say is, "Melanin in it's natural habitat is Beautiful." Thank you Africa for inspiring me to just be Me (cuz that's more than enough). Thank you Kenya for your hospitality (Esther, Brandon, Patrick) And thank you Eagles C.C. (Bishop Matua & Sis. Maureen) for your prophetic words. Check this selfievid and remember that all things are possible if we just believe ♡ |
